Verdad o Consecuencias

On February 22nd we went to a small town called T or C (Truth or Consequences) with our friends Cynthia and Alan. Originally this little town was named Hot Springs , due to the amount of hot springs there, that also originated the construction of a hospital to treat illnesses like polio and other related where patients could get therapy even now there are some specialists who live in that town. How did this town get such a peculiar name?
The change happened during the 50’s when there was a radio program called “Truth or Consequences” whose host (Ralph Edwards) came up with the idea that there should be a town in the us under that name, so the people of Hot Springs voted for the change since Hot Springs was a too common name (too many towns throughout the US have that name) T or C made the difference since many people were attracted to it… ever year on the anniversary of the name and until he died Edwards used to come to this town to precede the festivities.
Therefore , we could not miss the opportunity to know this peculiar town and enjoy its hot Springs , and its small museum ( Geronimo Springs Museum) started by the community and visit a place exclusive for catus since Alan loves catus and grows them in his house
