,RECEPCION EN CNM:
El departamento organizó una recepción de bienvenida para nosotros el 20 de noviembre en la sala de juntas … en cierta manera resulto muy simbolico pues el 20 de Noviembre celebramos un aniversario mas de la revolucion mexicana… Janice Hart estuvo muy activa organizandola enviando invitaciones y ordenando lo necesario para la recepcion (incluyendo un enorme y delicioso pastel de chocolate con la leyenda”welcome”. Por mi parte prepare algun material para que los maestros lo leyeran : informacion sobre el centro de idiomas, el Centro de Autoacceso , el examen de certificacion de Ingles de la Universidad Veracruzana (EXAVER) , sobre los examenes estandarizados de Modelo Educativo Integral Flexible (MEIF) tanto escritos como orales , sobre nuestro curso de lectura en Ingles, sobre la Escuela de Estudiantes Extranjeros sobre algunos de los lugares que puede ver cualquier visitante estando en xalapa… la mayoria de los cuales mi compañera de intercambio, Nancy King ya ha visitado.ah… tambien fotocopie informacion sobre el programa de intercambio de Fulbright. El material lo acompañe por una presentacion en Captacia sobre mi ciudad Xalapa.

Varios maestros y autoridades estuvieron presentes entre ellos: la rectora Dr. Katharine W. Winograd, Gerry Mc Broom Chair, Lis, Penny, Kristina, Pat, Judy, Randy, Roy, Robert, Linda, Cynthia and of course Janice!
Ese mismo dia sacaron un articulo sobre mi en CNM EXPRESS, el periodico mensual de los academicos.
The department organized a welcome reception for us on November 20th in the conference room room…it was pretty symbolic in a certain way since it was the anniversary of the Mexican revolution. … Janice Hart was very active organizing it by sending some invitations and ordering the necessary things for the reception (including and enormous and delicious chocolate cake with the word “welcome” on it!) . As to me, I was also busy preparing some material for that day so that the people attending would be able to know a little bit more about my university: I prepared material about the Language Center, about our Self Access Center, about the Exam of my university (Universidad Veracruzana) that certifies English (EXAVER) , about the standardized exams for the Educative Integral Flexible Model (MEIF) written and oral , about our reading course, the School for Foreign Students and about some places that any visitor can see in Xalapa… Most of which my exchange partner Nancy King has been able to see.. and I also photocopied some information about the Fulbright exchange program. The material was accompanied a camptacia presentation about Xalapa
