With the arrival of spring the arid areas are transformed and it is really Amazing to see the amount and diversity of flowers … on the way to school and in the campus you are able to see bushes, trees, and single flowers coming out from “nowhere” , celebrating the change of season. One of the first flowers I saw in the gardens was the flower that is associated with Easter here in the USA: daffodils, together with tulips, and some other flowers of the Lilly family. I now understand what they meant when they told me that here the 4 seasons are clearly noticeable.
And although allergies also came with spring I was lucky not to get them but some of my students did.

I love your pictures, good blog!
This has been a strange year. Usually, the daffodils bloom in February, but this year they waited until March.
And now, even though it's May, we've had a few days of March weather.
But then, weather in the desert isn't as consistent as weather near the sea.
