Festival of Asian Cultures

Continuing with our discovery of ABQ we went to an event held at ABQ Civic Plaza to see dances, enjoy music and try food from the different Asian countries that were performing on that day and that live in Albuquerque … I really did not have any idea of how many people from other country are part of the community of Albuquerque. And I was glad to see children and young people that even if they are now living in other country they make an effort to keep their cultural roots.
The festival lasted many hours and we could enjoy outfits, instruments and performances typical of each region, started with Vietnam and the dragon dance, countries like Japan, Indonesia, Korea, India, The Middle East, Hawaii, The Phillipines, Tahiti, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
