Albuquerque´s Birthday

old town again

On April 19th some crackers called our attention, so we went to our balcony and enjoyed the fire works that are launched at the end of somebaseball games. The name of the baseball team is the ¨the Isotopes¨. Such a name was taken from the popular TV series ¨The simpsons¨.

On April 2oth there were some interesting events in conmemmoration of Albuquerque´s anniversary in Old Town ...I always felt a funny feeling when watching mexican dances (like those from Jalisco state) and mariachi music while being in the US as part of its culture and not as a tourist attraction from a mexican restaurant. There were also some jugglers and a guy who had made a series of musical instruments with waste materials and who was inviting children tojoinhim in themaking of music. There were also some organizations of astronomy with displays of the instruments they used to observe the sky.
