Alan's Garden

Como Cynthia , Peggy y Janice nos habían comentado, en ABQ se puede apreciar muy marcadamente el cambio de estaciones y como ustedes apreciaron en las fotos de primavera, es casi increíble el colorido de los arboles y matorrales en época de floración después del invierno en donde todas las plantas parecen sin vida: y así como el nopal se cubre de nieve en el invierno, en estas épocas donde el calor apenas empieza (Mayo) , los diferentes cactus se llenan de flores. Fue así como El Jardín de Alan (novio de Cynthia) quien cultiva y hace cruzas de diferentes cactus se lleno de una gran variedad de flores de distintas tonalidades. Por cierto que a una de sus nuevas cruzas Alan le puso el nombre de Cynthia… el problema es que no recuerdo exactamente cual de estas fue.

Just as Cynthia, Peggy and Janice had told us, you can easily see in ABQ de changes in seasons throughout the year and as you already saw I n the pictures of spring, it is almost incredible to see how colorful the trees and bushes turn in the time they bloom after winter, when all the plants seem lifeless: and just like the nopal covered by snow in winter, during these days when the heat is just beginning (May), the different cactuses bloom. This is how Alan’s garden ( Cynthia’s boyfriend) who grows and creates hybrids of different cactuses was filled with a variety of flowers in different tonalities. By the way, Alan gave one of his new breeds the name of Cynthia… the problem is that I can’t recall which of them was.
