El grupo de maestros volamos a Washington, en donde conoceríamos en persona a nuestros contrapartes y en donde nuevamente estariamos en sesiones de trabajo, esta vez la mayoria de ellas serían con nuestros contrapartes….
El grupo de maestros volamos a Washington, en donde conoceríamos en persona a nuestros contrapartes y en donde nuevamente estariamos en sesiones de trabajo, esta vez la mayoria de ellas serían con nuestros contrapartes….
habia un mundo de gente entre los maestros NorteAmericanos y los participantes de diferentes partes del mundo ( Peru, Ecuador, Francia, Latvia, Alemania, Turquía, India, Africa, etc) ademas de las familias de muchos de los participantes. Nos hospedamos en un hotel en Alexandria y en otro hotel cercano tuvimos las platicas y talleres, Pero no todo fue trabajo hubo cenas riquisimas y organizaron un tour por Washington DC,
Tambien, el ultimo día, se organizó una presentacion de los diferentes paises participantes, el grupo de mexicanos fue el mas nutrido ya que invitamos a nuestras contrapartes a participar. Fue una lastima que no pude usar el vestido de jarocha, representantivo de mi estado, Veracruz, pero gracias a mi compañera de trabajo, Elsa malpica, quien es tambien bailarina del ballet Folclorico de la Universidad Veracruzana pude vestir un traje de Yucatan. Finalmente, el dia 3 de agosto cada quien voló hacia su destino en los EEUU… el de mi esposo y el mio fue la ciudad de Albuquerque ( al principio me costaba mucho trabajo escribirla, ahora ya no tanto pues es mas facil referime a ella como ABQ)
The group of Mexican teachers flew to Washington where we would meet our American counterparts and where again, we would be attending work sessions, most of which would be at this point, with our counterparts. There were a lot of people among the American teachers and the participants from all over the world (Peru, Ecuador, France, Latvia, Germany, Turkey, India, Africa, etc) besides the families of those who where participating. We stayed in a hotel in Alexandria and in other hotel, we were given talks and workshops. However, not all of this was only work : there were delicious meals and Fulbright also organized a tour to see Washington DC.
On our last day, there was a presentation of the different countries there. The Mexican group was one of the biggest group since we invited the American counterparts to take part in it. 
It was a pitty that I could not wear a Jarocha dress, which is representative of my state, Veracruz but thanks to my colleague, Elsa Malpica, who is a Dancer at the Folk ballet Company of my university: the Universidad Veracruzana, I could wear a a dress from The State of Yucatan. Finally, on August 3rd everyone flew to their final destination… my husband’s and mine was the City of Albuquerque ( at the beginning the spelling was difficult for me , not now, also because I now use ABQ
