NUESTRO DEPARTAMENTO

Our home when we arrived there was a studio that my counterpart, Nancy king got and furnished for us with some of her things and the things of other teachers… even some food and flowers were already waiting for us . our first walk was to a well known supermarket that was only about 20 minutes walking..
of Course Cesar (my husband) and I were the only crazy people walking under that sun and with so much heat since the temperature was about 90o Fahrenheit, but that walk was good to get ride of some tiredness after such a trip: we were on different planes and therefore different flights and he arrived one hour before my flight.. I cant imagine Carmen (Nancy’s sister in law) and cesar trying to have a conversation without knowing each other’s language!. Carmen picked us up at the airport and took us to our apartment. The next day, nancy’s brother (David) and Carmen took us to get our cellphone service and do our first grocery shopping. By the way, at the supermarket they did not accept my Mexican debit card since it did not have my name on it and they did not know if that card was really mine!. David and Carmen also took us to try our first New Mexican Food at a place called Chilli’s
